Review: Gadget Grab

k2-_2498d60e-03b9-47bb-b83a-4f3cce02fb13.v1.jpg-41dbadfc06dc3fe691d482d3f75111d6513d04fe-optim-450x450I was sent the gadget grab to test out and was pretty happy and surprised with the results.  Its so hard to find a stand that not only works great for my iPad but that I can trust to keep it up and not drop it. I received two different sizes, small and large. They are both the same concept, circular black cases that open up to revile green sticky pads insidek2-_3cc251d3-c768-404a-8783-239f78e9e838.v1.

So the small one works great for my cell phone. I had it stuck to my car dash and my phone on it using it for GPS and it held up well to the bumps of the road and didn’t drop my phone at all.  The one that I was most curious about though is the largek2-_e676564f-e1c4-437e-8048-c56d26c120be.v1 one and to see how it would hold up with my Ipad.

I use my ipad for everything from watching movies to using it as a cookbook in my kitchen. I almost always have my ipad on me.

First test was for the kitchen. It stuck wonderfully to the kitchen counter and didn’t leave any residue however in order to get it to stick well to my ipad I did have to remove the case and that made me a little nervous. Once I removed the case from the ipad is stuck like a champ. I was able to swipe my ipad and use it while it was on the stand without the Gadget grab loosing its grip. Once I was done using it I was able to remove it from both the counter and my ipad without damaging or leaving any goo behind.

The Gadget Grab sells for $10.00 plus shipping and handling here. I think for $10.00 they are definitely a deal. You get two for the price of one and for being such a simple concept they work fantastically. They are small so you can toss them in your purse, glovebox or even in the kitchen drawer so its always ready when you need it.

Throughout the book young Wylde Scott grows older and talks about everything that he can accomplish in his dreams and with a little imagination.

This book is beautifully illustrated and is sure to capture the imagination of young and old alike and encourages all to follow their dreams because everything that has become has become because someone has imagined it and followed their dreams.

Review: Ice Ball Maker Mold by BAR-KRAFT®

So since having my son I can say that worried about having a diluted whiskey is not at the top of my things to worry about.

But I did figure out a pretty fun cool thing to do with these awesome ice ball makers.

So think of it as a fun pretty way to infuse your water. You could put lime and mint in them, orange slices, Kiwi etc. OR.. think about this…. 3ef9b751d0100f31f48a0988c65bda10

You could make little smoothie balls with them. We have been making LOTS Of soothies at our house and this is a great way to make them and store them, just pop a few out and stick in your cup, maybe add some water and slush it around and BAM quick smoothie! I’m a pretty big fan of these.

You can purchase this ice sphere maker here on Amazon for $9.50.

Friday Favorites: My Four Favorite Websites to waste time on :)

My first favorite go to site it Post Secret. This is a website where people create homemade postcards and send in their secrets. Its updated every sunday.

Why do I love this site? It makes my weirdness seem a lot less fucked up. Everyone has their dirty little secrets but when you read others… you see that people either have the same secrets you do… or they have ones that are much much worse.

modclothWhen I want to go shopping or “window shopping” for fun and funky stuff, ModCloth is the site They have everything from clothes to stuff for the kitchen. Check it out!

Pintrest ahhhhh its a website sent from the Gods for crafty people. When I cant be getting my craft on you can usually find me exploring pintrest like an ant on a sugar cube!

Dear Abby because she always has the best advice. I have read Dear Abby almost daily since I was 14 years old. I’m pretty much obsessed with the site 🙂

I can honestly say that I have never hung my laundry out to dry so the idea of using them what they are actually supposed to be used for is kind of a joke.. however I am the crafty mommy so these uses are much more realistic. You can buy the 200 clothespins on Amazon for $8.99… how many of these crafts can you you do with 200 clothespins?!?!?!?!?

Review: Kandoo Childrens Hand Soap

kandooLittle man and I were sent the Kandoo Wash your Hands Moisturizing hand soap to review.

We received the Funny Berry Scented soap.  It has a large hand pump to make it easy for the kiddos to pump it themselves, and comes in fun bright colors so that it makes hand washing more fun for your little one and lets you know that they are completely covered in soap to get the maximum amount of clean 🙂 It contains Natural moisturizers like Vitamin E and other fruit extracts to moisturize while cleaning. It is hypoallergenic and there are no parabens or SLS, its a mild formula and has been dermatologist tested.

I think this is a pretty fantastic product. Why?
1. Its bright colored container attracts my little guy to it and makes him want to wash his hands!
2. The big hand pump makes it so he can wash his hands all by himself.
3. It smells awesome. (yep this makes the top 3)
4. The fun colors make it so I know when he is all soaped up and all the soap is off.
5. It doesn’t bother my sons eczema.

Friday Favorites #2

Today I’m going to share some of my favorite pintrest pins! If you click on any of the pictures they will lead you right to the project itself

Pintrest pin 1Pin#1:DIY Bellbottom / Flare Jeans … sooo maybe this is the teenage Heather part of me speaking.. but I’m pretty much totally in love with these. Think of all the freaking possibilities.. bandana’s, awesome fabric… lace…. and doesnt even need to be jeans, shorts, skirts… shirts? Possibilities are freaking endless!!

PS: I love that the author of this pin is standing on the side of the bathtub so she can see what the bottom of her pants look like in the vanity mirror… why? Because I have totally been there!!!

Pin #2: Kind of totally in love with these bright funky rocks! And they are a craft that you can do with your kiddo and then make them your own little bit of artwork! Have your son or daughter paint them the primary color and let them dry… once your little one goes to sleep hijack that rock and rock it out! (Haha see what I did there?)

These would look amazing in a plant, randomly in a garden or just chillin on your desk!

I have been wanting to do this project however have yet to run across the perfectly smooth rock on my walks… as soon as I do.. I will be tackling this project!

Pin #3  sooo… its not super jazzy or amazing but you can apparently (according to the pin) make this fire pit for $50.00

  • Weber Smokey Joe Portable charcoal grill or equivalent 14″ diameter grill. ($30 new)
  • 4 sections of 14″ inside diameter concrete tree ring ($2 to $3 each = $8 to $12 total)
  • 6 sections of 24″ inside diameter concrete tree ring ($2 to $3 each = $12 to $18 total)
  • 2 cubic feet of small stones, pebbles, road gravel or decorative rock ($0 to $20 depending on how fancy)

Total cost $50 to $80 depending on your taste in stones.

Seriously ANYONE can make this easy peasy!  I’m thinking as soon as I move I will be building this in my backyard.. and I love the rim on it, a place to rest my feet / melt my flip flops to the bottom of my feet!

Pin3Pin #4  These.. are.. amazing. These crocheted faux taxidermy are freaking AWESOME. Made by an artist named Hadar Kaplan who lives in Israel. She does several different types of “mounts” My favorites being the Rhino, Zebra and Moose!

These would look adorable in a playroom, or a childrens room.. I’m completely in love with these. They sell for about $125.00 each.

Pin #5  I don’t know why I bothered linking the photo to the picture because its pretty self explanatory however it looks freaking awesome!

Its like little bites of apple pie goodness. Looks to me like you just take some melted butter, brush it onto some croissants, sprinkle some brown sugar on that ma-ma-jama and roll an apple up in it. Cook it till it is done and not burnt and you are good to go!

I haven’t tried this one out yet but it may be tried out tonight!
