Review: Zazzle Christmas Cards

2016 holiday card

I just ordered my 2015 Christmas Cards and gotta say Zazzle did not let me down! Again I received a wonderful, high quality product!

This year I was really wanting to go with picture cards for my Christmas cards. My family has had an eventful year and my little guy has grown up, we adopted a dog. I really wanted to share this without producing a long letter that chances are will get skimmed and thrown out.

Zazzle had several templates available to help me with this but I ended up choosing the one shown above.

Its a 5×7 card printed in full color on the front. I was able to put in 6 pictures and one holiday message for $2.01 per card, envelope included.

The process to create your card is super easy. Easy as drag and drop! All you do is upload your photos, pick your message and then choose your card options.

First you get to Choose the shape that you would like your card to be:

Chose normal, because it fit my card the best.

Then you choose the paper stock. It comes with the signature matte option but you have several to choose from if you would like to

paper type

Once you pick your paper type, you can choose accessories like special envelopes and stamps. made is super easy to make my Christmas cards, however… one thing that I noticed that I’m sure you may have noticed by now… is that I made my 2015 cards say 2016… and guess what? I’m totally going to send them out anyways 🙂

Hipster Animals A Field Guide

hipsteranimalI was sent a copy of the book: Hipster Animals, A Field Guide.  A book that is sure to make you giggle. A softcover, 104 page book packed with every hipster animal imaginable.

For Instance, Page 55 is an 80’s night Karaoke Star who also just so happens to be a chipmunk. His diet is Big meaty riffs; cheesy love lyrics; meatloaf and his habitat is No private rooms; gotta be the big bar stage. Even better with a live band. His call is power ballad to the people!

One of my favorite parts of this book is flipping through the pages and going “ohh…. I know that person they may not be a possum wearing a beanie.. but I know that person. ” although that is tied with my second favorite, the cat hipster paper doll in the back of the book.

This book retails for $14.99 and would make the perfect gift for your sassy friend this Christmas!

Review: Lucky Peach Presents 101 Easy Asian Recipes

51YnAa+RglL._SX364_BO1,204,203,200_When I think Asian food I rarely think easy. I often think complicated, hard to find ingredients and time consuming, however this book quickly proved me wrong and added some humor while doing so.
The book started out with two rules:
1. No Frying
2. No Subrecipes
Two rules that instantly had me interested to see what was to follow. The Chapters starts with what you should have in your pantry then leads into Cold dishes, apps and pickly bits followed with breakfast, pancakes (yes an entire chapter on pancakes!) soups and stews and noodles, rices,
Warm vegetables, chicken, meats, seafood, super sauces and dessert!
Dont let the weird names scare you away because the photographs look amazing and delicious!

Review: Baby car mirror

41YCiFlD1fL 71hrhMwhf8L

Every parent knows how important it is to have baby sitting facing backwards, but we also know how frustrating it is not being able to see what our little one is up to. The baby car mirror is just what you need to be safe and get rid of your frustration.

The mirror adjust 360 degrees and is connected to a separate head rest mount that allows for it to move in any angle, so that you are able to get the perfect view of your little one. Its super easy to install. There are adjustable clips on the straps that lock the mirror into safe. It doesnt take any tools to assemble the mirror, and once it is up, it is stable there are no fears of it falling down.

I love how as a bonus I got two back seat sun shades to protect the little ones from the sun, plus a free spray bottle and cloth so that I can keep finger prints, and foot prints clean off the mirror.

This is a must have for any parent of a child! Love it!

Review: Instant Happy Journal

  • UntitledPaperback: 368 pages
  • Publisher: Ten Speed Press; Jou edition (October 6, 2015)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 160774824X
  • ISBN-13: 978-1607748243
  • Product Dimensions: 5.9 x 1 x 6.7 inches

So I have been trying really hard to keep a positive attitude and not let the little things drag me down and the Instant Happy Journal has been a huge help.

Its a 365 day journal with motivation words, inspiration and though provoking questions on each page.

Day one asked me to list the days mini miracles. It was a pretty ordinary day but here is what I listed:

  • Got Oil changed (needed to do for like 8 months)
  • Went to the gym (I’m trying to get on track)
  • Leading at work (I’m rocking out in my professional life right now)

All are things that the every day person may not think is a big deal but they are kind of a big deal for me and so that is why I listed them as a mini miracle. Untitled2

I love how this books help you take the ordinary things and think of them in a different perspective.

I’m only on day three but I’m already looking at going home and writting! Todays page is on the right, “Share some words of wisdom a friend told you today or recently that inspired you.” I will be honest this one has me scratching my head and I may end up going to pintrest to find something motivational that gets me going but we shall see.

This Journal is a total win and for $9.34 its one hell of a deal!

Love it!
