Fiery, Clever, Daring not the words you would think of to describe the nineteenth Century lady. However Mary Handley is nor your typical lady of the nineteenth century and she is not one to conform to all the other ladies of the time.

Mary Handley was fired from her job at a hat factory for insubordinate behavior and finds herself at a murder scene of the brother of a the former book keeper of Thomas Edison. She is hired by the Brooklyn police department as the cities first female policewoman and is put on the case.

In this book you will follow Mary around as she solves the crime. You will be charmed by her sassyness and  smile when you find her questioning the likes  Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla.

This is a fantastic book to snuggle up to in a bubble bath with a lovely glass, or bottle of wine 🙂
